Coming soon… Bee-mystifying Tech Workshop

Are you curious about how the technology you use every day actually works? Want to go bee-hind the screen and understand how apps and websites are built? Want to build your own?

The HIVE is excited to offer a series of 8-12 week long workshops that can take you from computer novice to full-stack developer with plenty of fun and engaging projects along the way.

Our first workshop will focus on demystifying tech (more like bee-mystifying!) and, if you’re interested in working with information technology, will prepare you for the CompTIA A+ certification exam, which is widely recognized by employers hiring for IT roles.

About the instructors:

Anya Slavina has a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction and immense fondness for activity-based learning and filling brief lectures with whimsically informative illustrations (see also, the bees around the website)

Justin Perry is a full-stack developer who brings fun encouraging vibes as well as a depth of knowledge and applied skills

If you’re curious or interested in exploring tech in a fun and friendly environment, let us know and we’ll start building a curriculum!
