STEMarts Lab Bootcamp - Build New Worlds In AI

2025 STEMarts Bootcamp series continues with "Build New Worlds in AI" on April 26th at UNM Taos HIVE.

Students aged 14–20 who want to explore artificial intelligence as a tool for creativity, learning, and reimagining sustainable futures are encouraged to apply.

In this immersive AI Worldbuilding Bootcamp, participants will embark on a journey of speculative fiction creation, using AI as a collaborative storytelling partner.

Bootcamp Details:

  • Who Can Attend: Open to ages 14–20

  • Date and Time: April 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Location: UNM Taos HIVE, 1146 Gusdorf Rd, Taos, NM

  • Meals and Travel Support: Lunch and snacks provided. Parent travel stipends are available for students traveling more than 30 miles to attend.

Mentor Meetup

If you’re interested in mentoring entrepreneurs through the pollinator, come meet other incredible mentors and hang out with some of the HIVE team.

This is an opportunity to get to know each other, and think about what a good mentorship experience would be for you.

This Pollinator will have 7 workshops (the first week will be the kickoff event) and 7 lab sessions where participants can come work on their businesses with support and guidance from mentors and HIVE staff - come hang out, ask questions, and get ready for more community supporting goodness to come

The STEMarts Bootcamps prepare students to serve as STEMarts Ambassadors for traveling sci-art installations that explore the universe and expand our perceptions as planetary citizens. The workshops are free, and once trained, students receive stipends for their roles as experience guides and peer instructors at future events. Lunch and snacks are provided. Travel stipends for students traveling long distances to attend.

Session #2 - Exploring the Universe through Particle Physics

Unveiling the Building Blocks of the Universe

Shane Wood: Dive into the fundamentals of particle physics with hands-on activities that make complex concepts easy to understand. Discover how the tiniest components of matter shape our universe. Create sci-art visuals with projection mapping using iPads and the Tagtool AI app.

Dr. Steven Goldfarb: Beaming in live from the ATLAS Detector at CERN. ATLAS is one of three enormous high-precision particle physics detectors located at the points where proton beams collide in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Steve will walk you around and all over the detector, describing the experiment, its successful discoveries and what more it hopes to achieve in the coming years.

Work with Ian Harrison to learn projection mapping with TagTool to create stunning sci-art creations.
